2. As your constituent, I'm calling on Congress to urge you to support S. 736, the Assault Weapons Ban of 2021. It should be a crime to knowingly import, sell, manufacture, transfer, or possess a semiautomatic assault weapon or large-capacity ammunition feeding devices.
3. I am also urging Congress to bring universal background checks to the Senate floor for a vote. The vast majority of Americans (~90%) believe requiring background checks for every firearm sale should be written into law.
