Billboard has chosen to engage in unfair, unethical, xenophobic and discriminatory practices related to the way it compiles and counts charting metrics. The method in which Billboard is engaging in this behavior is how it is not applying it's rules, practices and methods equally and fairly towards all artists. 

The accompanying video will go into further detail explaining what is happening. For the second week Billboard has excluded the majority of song sales for "Like Crazy" by Jimin of BTS. Last week it was at least 100,000 consumer purchases that were excluded. This week it is suspected to be close to the same amount. This is absolutely unacceptable and shameful. 

BTS's fandom is extremely organized and because we often face discrimination and derision, we are accustomed to keeping meticulous records. Billboard's exclusion of these sales is a blatant attempt to prevent BTS and other Asian or non-Western artists from charting on the Hot 100. 

As fans, we already face extreme discrimination from payola fueled radio that won't even play songs when we request, excessive and arbritary filtering of streams on Spotify and YouTube. Enough is enough. We are treated as if we are not even human beings, referred to as "bots" or young kids. On the contrary, we are professionals, intelligent and we have MASSIVE purchasing power. We have sold out everything from lego sets and fabric softener to SUVs in supporting BTS.

The corruption, disrespect, dirision, discrimination, xenophobia, gatekeeping and unfairness needs to stop and it needs to stop NOW. It's time to boycott Billboard AND all of Billboard's advertisers until this discrimination and unfairness stops.
