Respected Sir/Madam, 

We are writing collectively as a group of applicants and petitioner in the IR5 Category (Parents of US Citizens who are at least 21 years old) to request for your kind assistance to have our immigrant visa application transferred from the National Visa Center. All of us in this group are already at the Documentarily Qualified stage and are just waiting to be able to schedule visa interview and medical appointments. Some of us are waiting for over a year already for our application status to change. 

 We understand that there are significant backlogs in most categories and wait times for interviews are lengthy as a result of the office closures during the pandemic. However, it has come to our attention that there were some applications processed and expedite requests approved instantly in the IR5 category. We just hope to be given the same opportunity since all of us have the need and long to be reunited with our children/parents, not to mention all the other reasons we have such as medical conditions, mental health issues, extreme living condition, and childcare. 

 As parents, we long to be with our children and grandchildren and be a part of their daily lives. We hope to proceed to the next step of our application and get our visas while we are still in a good state of health and being, and not be a burden to our children and their families. We desire to work while we are still able and contribute to the economy of the United States.

 As children, we long to be with our parents and give them the opportunity to know and take care of their grandchildren as they grow up. Aside from the help that they are going to provide, being raised by immigrant parents can come with numerous advantages. As Filipinos, our families are tight-knit, we are connected to our roots, and we receive exposure to multiple cultural perspectives. This kind of background enriches kids' lives and we would like our own to be raised in the same way. 

 Given that all our documents were thoroughly checked and approved, we hope that you grant our request to have our cases be ready for visa interview so we can proceed with the next steps of the application. We cannot emphasize enough our desire to be reunited with our families including all the reasons mentioned above.
