Stafford County has the opportunity to expand local, affordable, and homegrown solar energy with the proposed Enon Road Solar Farm—a 3 MW community solar project designed to lower energy costs and strengthen our local power grid.
But we need your help to ensure it gets approved! The Board of Supervisors will make their final decision soon, and hearing from supporters like you is crucial.
This project will:
- Provide electricity bill savings for local residents and businesses, particularly fixed income (e.g, retirees, veterans, low-income, etc.) residents
- Preserve land as open space, protect wetlands, maintain and enhance existing vegetation, and incorporate wildlife friendly features such as fencing and groundcover
- Generate new tax revenue with no impact on public services such as water, schools, or roads.
- Provide a Decommissioning Bond and Plan to safely remove and restore the project
