HB 5101 proposes to cut funding for several college-readiness programs, including dual enrollment, by 50%. This bill, and a similar Senate version, would reduce the add-on funding schools receive for each student participating in these programs.  Schools with high percentages of students enrolled in such programs will need to offer fewer or larger classes or divert funding from other budgetary areas.
